The Mondragon Cooperative

Hi all -
I just wanted to share this newletter blurb I received today about the Mondragon cooperative I was talking about yesterday. This comes from the Schumacher Center, an economic thinktank based on the ideas of E. F. Schumacher and Bob Swann, early theorists of monetary reform in the US. If you are looking for some more options for evolutionary movements to plug into, the cooperative movement is a good place to look around if you haven't already.

Monetary Reform documents I mentioned in class

Here's the recent monetary reform act I mentioned in class on Monday which would have nationalized the Money Power in the US banking system HR 6550, which includes an excellent summary of the bill and the history of the struggle over control of the money power, written by Stephen Zarlenga, director of the American Monetary Institute.

And here's the paper by some economists at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) arguing for the same plan: nationalizing money power for purposes of ecological and social sustainability.
